The FAA will announce the details of the implementation of the many provisions of this new rule. It is expected that implementation of the driver's license in lieu of FAA medical will be one of the first items to be activated. The implementation cycle start 1 Sep 2004.
EXCITEMENT:
I cannot say how you all feel about this, but to me, with over 20 years of work with the FAA, EAA, AOPA and other associations, working to implement this kind of rule-making... TO ME...this is like the Christmas Holidays, 4th of July, and New Years all rolled into one big celebration.
